MD Anderson Cancer Center

In 2013 the Taylor Trudeau Cycle for Life Foundation donated $250,000 to Dr. Dean Lee at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The Pikes have allowed Dr. Dean Lee to start a Phase I Clinical trial using the body’s own natural killer cells to fight cancer. The trial was a success, and have saved the life of a 20 year old terminal Leukemia patient who is now cancer free

This is the first of many planned future donations.

Waiting Area

On May 1st, 2013 the Pediatric Oncology waiting room was dedicated and named the Pi Kappa Alpha Taylor Trudeau Cycle for Life waiting area.

Why Pediatrics? The hospital realized after treating Taylor that 18 was too young to be moved to the adult floors. Pediatrics now encompasses infant to 25.
